Nepal is often thought of primarily as a trekking destination, but there is so much more to it. What I loved was the contrast: ancient cities and spirituality in the Kathmandu Valley, wildlife in Chitwan, the calm of Pokhara and then complete stillness in the hills of Dhulikhel. It is a destination that can feel adventurous, cultural and deeply restorative within the same journey — and that combination is what makes it so special to me.
